The first year for both a month and year sticker on a Colorado motorcycle plate was 1979.
From the picture, with the yellow with black number year sticker on the plate (on the right side of the plate), the picture would have to have been taken in either '85, or '87.
Before 1978, Colorado plates had the year stamped in the plate, and you got a new plate every year - except for Colorado's Centennial, that plate had 1976 stamped in it, and you got a sticker for 1977.
Regardless of the age of the pic (good observation), its still amazing. Imagine trying to turn without the front end washing out! Thats one hard core biker.
