Mystery Solved

It's funny how things work themselves out. I found out yesterday that a guy named Eddie Park was asking about my shirts about a year ago at a friends shop who was selling them for me...in fact specifically asked about Born Loser as a company. The guy was there getting his Triumph worked on. Fast forward 9 months and Lucky brand issues a T SHIRT very very close to my big foot chopper design even in the same overall colors?? I don't think I have ever seen anything related to big foot and choppers except what we did. Come to find out this guy works and is a designer at Lucky... I am trying to reach him but no luck. I googled him and found his blog http://againsttc.blogspot.com/ roll through a couple pages and sure as shit he posts the design he is working on..the big foot riding a chopper. I know we all get inspiration from things we see everywhere new and old stuff...and nothings truly original...but when someone specifically asks about a brand( born loser and trys to get info about that company) then brings out something very very similar with a huge company like Lucky brand...that's wrong. What does Lucky have to do with choppers and Bigfoot ?? nothing !! stick to bedazzled jeans and 80 dollar Johnson Motor t shirts. If you know this guy I want to talk. Correction he now works for True Religion Jeans....

  1. Yeah, that ain't no coincidence. Just lameness at work. Why can't people just admire a design and be inspired to create one of their own? No talent, no idea-having corporate culture vultures.

    And, it's a shitty rip-off.

  4. Lucky Jeans must have some fuck ups "designing" shit for them. I remember Decker posting a shirt these idiots made with a Hell's Angels death head logo. Here's the link if you've never seen it.

  9. that sucks - its easier for lame, no talent having sucka heads to steal a creative persons ideas than it is to develop enough talent to manage it on their own. Meh

I've seen it time and time again with my leatherwork, fools stealing my ideas - but ya know what? Nothing ya can do really... just keep moving ahead - you know
    they cant keep up....

  10. Lame. Looks like he stole his blogger profile pic from Scott Pommier's site

  11. That design looks like a high schooler did it. Its super weak, and it especially falls down where most motorcycle illustration does.. the motor. Which is extra weird if he owns a bike himself. Pretty lame.

  12. I CAN'T BELIEVE HE'S USING A POMMIER PHOTO AS HIS BLOG PROFILE!!! JESUS!

  13. Piss poor form, what a complete douche, no talent bum, I remember the H.A affair . . . you need to be doing more than just 'talking'to this corporate cocksmoker, if you take my meaning.

  14. The rip-off artwork is amatuerish at best. I can understand design being derivative in some ways (styles, techniques, etc.) but when the subject matter (2 very distinct ones at that) is copied so obviously, that's just super lazy.

  16. I feel your pain.

I (once again), just went thru a similar but smaller ordeal as well.

Didn't you go thru this with them before? I know someone tried to rip your wolfman off too.

I believe the guy who owns Lucky Brand is the same guy behind destroying the Von Dutch name.

These whores try to mine the underground scene and package it for resale to Hollywood type posers and want a bees.

  17. I just want to talk to the guy but he is running. Took the post off his blog and won't respond to my emails. He works at True Religion Jeans now... so motorcycle wear is on the horizon.

  20. Did you ever see the video for the premier of Full Throttle Saloon? It was a shot for shot ripoff of the BF3 promo. Jeez dude, don't anybody tell David Bowie or he will be stealing your shit next...

  23. You have got to be kidding me. Talk about lack of creativity. There isn't a single original thing on his blog, not even a comment. Why would one expect him to come up with an original shirt design.
