TV and Real Life...

Ok.. of course I watched the show last night.I'll watch anything about motorcycles. The winner was Paul Jr. !!! with his airplane inspired build.Paul Sr. built and electric cart you lay on and Jesse James built a real Chopper that can be ridden fast and hard!My take on this is everyone has their own taste and style and you never know what people are really going to like or ride and this was the perfect example of that.I have been thinking about this a lot of the last few years and I can't figure out....Why do we care if someone builds their own bike? If everyone did no one could earn a living with a shop. Why do we care if someone just loves motorcycles and only wants to collect them? Never ride them anywhere...or if someone builds just show bikes with the thought that they would never see the road....just to look at? Who gives a shit! I want to see 2 wheel machines period...built,bought,ridden or not.I just can't stop thinking about them. My choice was the Jesse James bike...but not because he made everything by hand ( although I do appreciate & respect the craftsmanship ) or he could ride it the fastest or farthest...to me it was more of what I like... that's it.I guess in my mind I don't care what you build, who builds it,if you do it yourself,if you ride it or not,if you split lanes or cruise down to the beach.... I just like motorcycles.

  1. Middle America had their say and they said that they like giant "Steam Punk" styled beach cruisers. If this contest was held in the North Pole I am sure Paul Senior would have won with his snowmobile.
